And also “Ovaries Before Brovaries” is WAAAAAAAAAY gender-essentialist and problematic.  Not all women have ovaries and not all people with ovaries are women and I don’t feel comfortable letting that one slide by my dash without pointing that out. :(((

This is a new app called ‘Self-help Anxiety Management’ by The University Of West England

SAM has been developed by a university team of Psychologists, computer scientists and student users. It engages established methods of self-help and high standards of usability to provide a engaging, flexible & practical resource.

This app is currently only available for devices using Android.

Just downloaded this, may help control it a bit.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS.

I got an iPod touch last fall and have been using this to track my moods for several months now and it’s really been helpful for me.  I tried out a lot of the self-help exercises when I first got the iPod/app, but I haven’t used them all that much since then.

Probably the best part of it (which was an unintentional discovery for me) is that it makes me examine how I’m feeling whenever I log my anxiety; feeling tense vs. worrying vs. avoiding things. (I don’t often have physical symptoms.  Sometimes headaches.)  So it’s been helpful for me to have a time every day (I have a daily reminder set) when I step back to examine how I’m feeling across these three categories.

Today the BHH Elf went on an adventure up to New York City to visit his BFF, who, with the help of our friends Aly (whose idea this was) and Rachel, had no idea I was coming until I walked into the weird little pie place here. The look on Kyle’s face was exactly as priceless as I imagined it would be.

Our little circle has been through a hard time. We’ve lost a very dear friend. Our greatest tribute to him is to act on what he always asked us to believe. Spend time with the people you love. Show them you love them. As often as you can. And never take one moment of it for granted.

We love you all and we’re working on a whole lot of great stuff for the near future. Stay tuned, darlings.

Okay guys someone help me. So anyone in the Portal fandom, I just read the fic Blue Skies (aka the fairest fic of them all) and I know that I read it a million years after everyone else because my 2011-2012 self somehow thought it was okay to not be playing Portal. ANYWAY I found the little podfic…

Okay guys, here’s the sitch:

It’s been TWO YEARS. D-:  Our chief Producer Mocha has more or less disappeared, meaning that Ridel and myself have taken up the project.  The cleaning of the audio took a very long time, which is understandable because this is all a big labor or love where nobody’s getting paid and real life is super good at getting in the way.  But now – even as we speak! – the lines and narration are being stitched together, sound effects are being gathered and tested, music is being added.  All this to say—

Here’s that preview I promised! We’ve received numerous requests for a Luna Pen.  So we have been experimenting and this is what we have come up with thus far.

A huge, super sparkly Swarovski crystal sits at the top of the pen! I’m really obsessed with incorporating Swarovski into every design ^___^ Right now the pen is a regular uncapped pen, but we’d really like to implement a twist mechanism (so the ink is retractable). However, we are a little stuck on this part. If anyone has any cost effective suggestions for implementing a twist mechanism we would really appreciate your input!

And just a reminder, yesterday we restocked Crisis Compacts, Cosmic Hearts, Eternal necklaces and started accepting pre-orders for our sterling silver Garnet orb!

Back from hiatus finally, after a lot of hustling, which is good since this is just in time for Red Moon Rising’s five year anniversary holyy craaap I feel old.
