Paths are totally great for working out perspective. #PROTIP

LAUREN WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE IT’S NOT YOUR TURN YET.
ETA: Maaaaaan I just realized Lauren is totally channeling Hipster Ariel!
So far I’m up to page 3 of The Hues. The rest of the chapter (24 pages total) is all thumbnailed and loosely scripted.
I’ve processed and sent off some sketches for the secret collaboration project.
The Hues website doesn’t look totally like butts now. (Going to save up for a Real Web Designer to make it look cool, but this’ll do for now.)
It still feels like climbing a mountain, but I’m trying to focus on the progress.
[Image: Two side-by-side screencaps of comic lettering in Photoshop.]
I think I’m getting the hang of hand lettering. The letters on the left are from page 1, and on the right is page 3, which itself is the most dialogue-heavy so far. I was getting into a pretty good groove and the letters on the right more closely resemble my handwriting.

That skyline looks familiar… hmmm….
This is a big splash page/panel with an inset panel up at the top, but I took the BG into a new file for the painting part. :) I’m really happy with this!

Some cast members have shuffled around. Maya here used to be Hue Auburn, but I decided to cut the previous Violet and put Maya in her place. Violet’s emblem was previously a diamond shape, which is now on Saffron’s uniform.

Still not totally sure about that emblem (it is one element that was there from day 1) but it’ll do for now.

I really like her hair.

Lauren has a bad attitude and is not putting up with my bullshit.
Oh and I haven’t figured out if she needs glasses as Saffron or not. She probably will, because that would make it more interesting, I think. But I obviously forgot to draw them.
