I decided a sassy self-portrait was in order.  I’m looking rather dapper today anyway, since I went out with my boyfriend and his family for his father’s birthday dinner at a fancy restaurant.

I happened to be watching the episode of Futurama where Fry learns he’s a billionaire and throws a party with everyone wearing top hats, and here we are.

Some ideas for my next series of Body Love Buttons. These will be in tattoo style, but I’ve got some researching to do on the lettering styles before I work on the final designs.

Drew this during my lunch break last night.  My vision of the Ponies and Googly Eyes Bra had to come into being in one way or another.

Here are things I drew today on my lunch break. Some Adventure Time doodles, imagining PB and Marceline in my style. I think PB would be very round, being made of candy, and Marceline would be much more angular. I actually really like the drawing of her playing the bass, I may redraw it bigger and fix it up at some point.

Then a shippy drawing of PB and Marceline singing from “What Was Missing.” I’ve been following Yamino so long, I can’t help it.

And then some Sailor Saturn appreciation. I tried to give her more Asian facial features, and she was going to be holding a heart crystal in her raised hand, but then lunch was over and I didn’t get to add anything else to the drawing.

Some warmup doodles from this morning. The top two are some ideas I’m considering for art to go on a new banner for my Artist Alley table. The bottom three are Sami, Hannah, and Andrea from The Hues.

It’s ocurred to me recently that my collection of past sketchbooks is starting to get pretty old.  I’ve used the same type of sketchbook for just over ten years now; about 8.5 x 11 inches, hardcover, perfect bound.  The first one I ever got was a Christmas present from my sister, and came from Barnes & Noble, no doubt.  I covered it in anime pictures I’d printed out from the internet, and named it Belldandy.

Anyways, I used it a little when I first got it, but I didn’t really start making a conscious effort to carry it around with me regularly until about halfway through my freshman year of high school, which would be late 2000/early 2001.

So the first quarter of the sketchbook now contains drawings that are ten or more years old.

Let’s do this.
