So against my better judgement, I watched some Adventure Time.  Lumpy Space Princess is like my favorite thing ever.  And I love how, from what I’ve heard, the fandom loves her too.

So I made a drawing of a LSP-inspired outfit/found-item cosplay.  Purple happens to be my favorite color, so I’ve got plenty of it in my closet.  I imagine a human LSP to be similar in personality to April on Parks and Recreation, so that’s who I’d be channeling if I actually did this.

So that’s Lumpy Space Alex. :B

Oh, and this is the first thing I’ve drawn in 2012! o/

A picture of Sami I drew on Friday while I was out working at the coffee shop!  I’m going to work on a colored version tonight while I think up ideas for tomorrow’s Alex’s Guide.

I based the pose off this stock image by SenshiStock.  I find it useful to just browse through her gallery and find something to inspire a drawing.

I’m back from ConnectiCon!  Unfortunately, my camera died after Acen, so I wasn’t able to take my usual pictures of my table setup, but I did take a couple of amusing pictures with my camera phone.

Also, I found out that Virgin Mobile will put a watermark on any photos you send to someone via MyPix.  But luckily, MyPix is shutting down soon, so hopefully that wont be a thing.

Anyway, have a Jack Sparrow commission I did on Saturday.

Went ahead and redrew this piece from 2001.  Don’t know if I’ll get around to coloring it, so here it is all sketchy!

Changelist:

  • Tweaked the pose in places to be more natural.  It may have lost some of the dynamicness of the original, what do you think?
  • She’s now cocking the arrow as opposed to… whatever she was doing before. She’s also holding the bow and arrow with the correct hands. (She’s right-handed.)
  • Body proportions are… in proportion.
  • Her body shape is more like what I picture in my head.
  • Also I have an art degree this time around. :B
