I don’t really have a good place to display my fatshion art. I’ve got them in a gallery on DA, but DA’s interface is terrible and I can’t tailor the user experience, so I started a new tumblr that’s going to be my fatshion art portfolio for the sake of the entire project.

I’m hoping to draw more OOTDs in the future. The past year has done a number on me as far as fatshion goes, what with losing jobs, depression, being sick of my wardrobe, and generally not feeling like drawing attention to my body with my clothing and then drawing the results.
But hopefully soon I’ll be able to come back to my OOTDs. For now, my previous OOTD arts will be popping up on that tumblr.

I’m kinda getting tired of people building up chubby girls by tearing down skinny girls. It’s one of those backhanded comments a lot of my art gets, and I’m tired of people saying stuff like “Finally! Someone drawing HEALTHY women!” or “Yay, women with REAL curves!”
Speaking as someone who is overweight and healthy… fuck yooooooouuuuuu, you’re not doing us fat girls favors by being shit to skinny girls. Body acceptance doesn’t work that way.
I get this a lot whenever I put up my fat lady fashion drawings at conventions. On the one hand, I know that the girls who rave about them to me and complain about “everyone else drawing stick women” are just glad for the representation and seeing someone drawing something different, but at the same time I’m always cringing a little inside. A convention where I’m working my artist alley table is not the best place to conduct teaching moments about NOT calling other women sticks, so I often just have to smile, say thank you, and move on to the next customer.

Back on the OOTD wagon! o/
I got two new outfits drawn while on my lunch break last night, so I inked them up when I got home. (I will hopefully color and post the second one tomorrow.) I tried something new and inked them with a real actual brush and pot of ink, too! And I only smudged this one in ONE place! ^_^;;
Anyways, my favorite part of this (both the outfit and the drawing) is from the knees down. DOSE LEGWARMERS.
No one will ever take my legwarmers away from me. *clutches them to the chest*
