This is the card I’ve been using for the last… oh… year and a half or so. It’s eyecatching, and it makes people laugh when they turn it over to see the second panel of the comic, but since Alex’s Guide isn’t on a regular schedule anymore, I’ll be designing a new one.
I opened up Photoshop to put together a new business card, and I came across this in my files. Hello, Macintosh ad font! I don’t quite remember when I made this business card design, and I never got it printed, but I thought I’d post it.
A commission I did for my mom. :) This is my aunt’s mother and her late husband.
I rebuilt my online store today and I got it to the point where I don’t think it looks like total barf so I think it’s safe to link around now!
Still getting products in as I learn my new shopping cart software, but it’s already waaaaay better than Zen Cart.

Sailor Mew was an otaku senshi I came up with back in the day. (Mew was my favorite Pokemon.) I used her as an online persona/handle for many years, most notably in the Senshi Exchange Club. I’ve been getting nostalgic for the early 00’s Sailor Moon fandom, what with the new series on the way this year. ^_^
It’s been a VERY long time since I drew her, and I’m not entirely convinced I got her bow colors right, but I think this is pretty close.

Once upon a time, in the ancient year of 2004, I drew a picture for my dad, who operates the bar at a theater, to advertise a house cocktail he created in order to use up some surplus liquor in stock. This drink was named THE CURTAIN CALL.
Not too long ago, I was visiting my parents for the holidays and saw a printout of the old artwork lying around the kitchen table. I was thinking to myself, “Man, I could do a much better job on this nowadays,” and apparently my dad was thinking the same thing, since he asked me to redo it.

I was away from my home computer for a few days, so I took my tablet along with me and played around with an open source art program called MyPaint. I like the simple controls! I did some sketching to get used to the program.
It’s time like this I wish my netbook’s screen were a bit taller, since I’m so used to working on a screen with a 4:3 ratio. I’m not sure what place MyPaint will have in my creative workflow, but its nice for a portable sketching program.
Hourly Comics 2013. Not sure how well this’ll show up on Tumblr, but I’m working on my netbook and don’t have access to Photoshop to chop it up or otherwise render it readable. You can always read it on Alex’s Guide. :)
