Since I’m painting backgrounds today, I did a one-hour speedpaint to warm up. Andy is a character from my magical girl webcomic, The Hues.
I feel like I’ve made some strides in my painting after the last few months! I can certainly tell a difference in this piece. I’m not so sure about some of the proportions I ended up with, or the clothing folds, but it’s a good start, and gave me some things to think about if I ever go into full-figure painting.
I heard about a new ReBoot series today! So I had to draw this cutie face.
The Hues is a webcomic about post-apocalyptic magical girls! Sami Raju has been seeing a peculiar hexagram in her dreams her entire life, but thought nothing of it until a giant hologram of it appears hovering in the air over her town. Start reading here!

Maybe this counts as a spoiler? Maybe not. Hopefully it’s the good kind of spoiler that makes people excited about the story. You guys can still look forward to how it gets included/said in the future. ;)
