5 pages of Meaty Yogurt went up today. Thatās the end of volume 1! This is where things take a turn sideways.
Starting with volume 2, Iām going to attempt to go back to updating it with a couple pages a week. I miss having a regular schedule. Iāve written the script for the new couple chapters with this in mind. I hope to start doing this in the spring.

I’m still drowning in reblog notifications.Ā Thank you everyone who helped spread my story, especially those who left outrageously angry comments lambasting Mr. Farhan. Those were hilarious. <3
Yesterday afternoon, his profile was deleted from Kickstarter.Ā I’m going to assume that it was Kickstarter doing the deleting, since they forwarded my message to their Trust and Safety team, and hopefully they just outright banned his IP address, so that he can’t make a new account and do the same thing again.
While it’s a start, Kickstarter and Amazon ultimately need to develop a policy and measures to combat this sort of practice that doesn’t leave project creators with the short end of the stick.Ā As Megan put it so well yesterday, it’s not like we can prevent a backer from pledging even if we know that they’re going to do something like this.
A lot of kind folks asked what they could do to help me out if I end up losing the money, and I just want to say thanks.Ā As I said in the interview above, I’m extremely privileged to have a wonderful support system of family and friends who will be able to help me out, so I’m not in a dire situation.Ā But if you really want to do me a favor, go check out my comics, and if you like them, share with others.
In the meantime, I hope Amazon does the right thing and my appeal turns out in my favor.Ā I will let you guys know how it turns out.Ā Thank you again!

This Is Everything I Know: A 24-Hour Comic About Comics.
Hey, all. This is a comic I started on 24 Hour Comic Day, but I only managed to complete 12 pages on that day. That makes it a technical failure, but I decided it was worth finishing regardless of that.
I sold copies at APE, but I didnāt anticipate the demand and ran out of them pretty quickly. So, I promised to re-post the mini on tumblr when i got home, and here it is.
Some further reading, if this kinda thing is up your alley.
- Kevin Kellyās original essay on 1000 True Fans. He also links to associated articles dealing with the theory, even one that disagrees with it. Interesting reading.
- If you donāt know about Kickstarter and what its done for indie comics, get out from under that rock already. Lots of small press and micro publishers now pre-order ALL their projects on KS, myself included.
- Patreon is the new kid on the block; not quite up to scratch as of yet, but full of possibilities. Search ācomicsā to find a number of creators using it to draw a page rate from their fanbase.
