My Generation: (leaps out) WHEN I WAS YOUR AGE…

When I was your age, we had to hand-code our blogs, hosted on servers we maintained ourselves, in our dorm rooms, in the snow. And we LIKED IT THAT WAY.

Nothing was formatted! Anglefire was our only hope of personal expression and we used midi music versions of Savage Garden songs to show how we felt! Pages took minutes to load! Chatrooms were unregulated and haphazard and there were NO PMs or DMs, everything was public!

*shakes fist*

There was no place to easily upload video content, and if you managed it, people had to download it – there was no streaming video!

Most people I know had that one movie as a kid; that one movie that they would watch over and over and over to the resigned acceptance of their parents. I’ve always thought that movie says something about a person. What was your movie?

Henry V.

Little Shop of Horrors.

Sleeping Beauty, Milo & Otis, Homeward Bound, basically every Disney movie from Beauty and the Beast until Tarzan.

Help me Get my Life Back… Help me get some wheels!

Hi Guys!  So, I’m finally ready to admit my crutches… aren’t enough.  I’m missing out on so much because my mobility is so limited by my pain and exhaustion.  I bought a manual wheelchair a couple of months ago- but the days when I need it most… I can’t use it because my hands are in so much pain that I can’t grip or maneuver the wheel rims.

.

So, I need help.  I found a relatively lightweight power chair that can be folded to go in my car’s backseat or trunk, and that I should be able to get in and out on my own.  The battery life is pretty good, and… it’s actually cheaper than a lot of custom-built manual chairs.

.

But it’s still well out of my reach financially.  So, I need your help!  Please, if you can, consider donating to my youcaring fundraiser- or, share this post so other’s who can afford to can donate.

.

Right now it’s a challenge even for me to get to class 2x a week, and forget about trying to actually DO anything else.  This chair could finally give me my life back.  And the less energy I expend on just… getting around, the more I have to get back to work on PSA and other projects.  Not to mention- it would be nice to feel like I have the freedom and energy to see friends and family again more regularly.

.

I know a lot of ya’ll here at PSA have your own medical financial challenges.  So even if you can’t donate… please consider sharing this post?  My insurance sucks, and this is the only way I can see to actually get my mobility back.  I want my life back.  Please help me take it back.

.

You can donate HERE and really, every little bit helps.Â
