#mugtober day 6: Blue Glaze

I bought this one on my last day working at Starbucks. I quit that job to focus on my last quarter of undergrad. I’d also been working at both Sbux and the cartoon library at OSU (when it was called the Cartoon Research Library) and I only wanted to work at the library for that last quarter before graduation. This mug is one of my biggest ones, good for those big coffee days.

#mugtober day 5: Jolly Roger

This was another gift during my pirate phase. Thanks, Pirates of the Caribbean. Pulled out the markers for this one, since it’s just black and white.

#mugtober day 4: Princess Aurora

A gift from my mom. The outside of the cup is really pearly and iridescent, which was challenging to render in colored pencil on such soft paper. I love the retro style of the character on this mug a lot– I bet I could find out who the artist was nowadays with the internet.

#mugtober day 3: Autumn leaves.

Bought this at Starbucks while I was working there. I love the design so much, I also bought it in the other colors it was available in– green and blue.

When I went to Mexico in 2013, I bought this lovely handmade sketchbook in a craft market. I haven’t done anything with it, and I’ve also never done #inktober. So I’m going to do #MUGTOBER: 31 ink and colored pencil drawings of my favorite coffee mugs. :D See you tomorrow for #1, my favorite mug!
