NEVERMIND, couple shots later confirmed they’re outside LA.
Which still seemed off to me, but some quick googling revealed that Las Vegas (as with other points in Nevada) is within a few hours driving distance from LA, so joke’s on me. I have zero spatial awareness of the left coast.
