This commission was for a friend of mine! She runs the Facebook page for Space Bat Day, which is March 15th, and is a day for honoring your big dream and taking a step towards making it happen. 
The illustration is based on the story of the bat that was seen clinging to the fuel tank during the launch of Discovery in 2009.
