He trailed off. Something seemed to be pressing on his mind- his optic turned floorwards, squinted, peered up sideways at her, managing to convey an incredible amount of guilt for something that was basically just a metal sphere with an eye in it.

“Can I just say, before we go any further, that I’m… I’m really sorry. For everything. I’m sorry I was such a, a monster, I’m sorry I was so demanding and pushy and… er, well, murderous. To you. I was wrong, you were right, I never should have tried to run the place by myself, and I… well, I’m just…”

He paused, searched for a better, sharper, smoother, more convincing way of putting it. Gave up.

“…sorry.”

Blue Sky, chapter 2

I drew a thing awhile back and just got it scanned.  I’m a doof and forgot about the Long-Fall Boots, so that’s why Chell’s wearing regular boots.

…Caroline?

Yes?

I’m… I’m going to die, aren’t I?

Yes-indeedy, said Caroline, in the same bright, unconcerned tone.

Ah, right… I… I wasn’t a… a hundred percent sure. Don’t… really mind, I suppose… not now, not in the… the scheme of things… but it’s just- well, they told me it’d hurt, dying. Will- will it hurt?

Oh, gosh, little thing, I don’t know, said Caroline, and there was a smile in her voice. I’ve never died.

I wanted to try my hand at perspective but man did it kick my arse. In the end I had to simplify my image a lot, but I still like how it came out.

We all know I am a Blue Sky fanatic. I dunno if it’s weird that I make a lot of fanart for it and PM Wheatley, but I just really like the stories and Erin’s imagery really captures my imagination.

Hope you guys enjoy it :D

Mr. Blue Sky, please tell us why you had to hide away for soooo loooong…

So pretty~

Blue Sky, Chapter 1: The Recall
Personal favorite bits.

I just finished Blue Sky a day or two ago, an awesome Portal fanfic. I HAD to do fanart, however dumb and small and quick. I couldn’t decide what to draw, so I threw a bunch of ideas together into a photoset. I might do the chapters in order, like this- it was a lot of fun and some really good painting practice.

Disclaimer: Kate cannot draw robots. At all. Whatsoever.

WAAAAH

Oh my god that lake one! The backgrounds! Earth! Wheatley! GLaDOS! Can I just quietly paper these all over my face?

Can you believe I’m just now reading the famous Portal fanfic Blue Sky?! Me neither. It’s huge and wildly popular—for a good reason, too. It’s the length of a short book, and I haven’t even finished it yet. I’m on chapter 8, so don’t say anything!

Since the moment I read it, I knew I had to draw Wheatley with the hair clip little Ellie gave him that she put on him like a tie clip. And it had a turtle on it. I mean I was just like thrashing around it was so cute. And he loved it too—Kept smiling at it.

Can’t wait to read more, expect more fanart!

Also waffleguppies you are the bomb dot com okay ily

Super cute.

I think I’m a latecomer to this fandom.

I just finished Blue Sky a few weeks ago. I’ve read anything else quite like it quite like it.

I wanted to illustrate this moment from chapter 14, which is one of my abosolute favoruites

“Carefully, deliberately, she reached up and spread her palm gently against the dark square. There was a single, tiny sound from the hidden speaker as her fingers made contact, a choked little noise that could easily have been mistaken for a crackle of static, a faint hitch in the elevator’s humming motor.”

Whenever I’m stuck for art, I’ve been defaulting to some blue sky. It’s really good practice whenever I want to draw facial expressions!

Nice work!
