dumb rant about boobs and crossed arms
elaboration here (http://littlefroggies.tumblr.com/post/28706407694/i-drew-this-super-super-fast-sorry-its-so) and here (http://littlefroggies.tumblr.com/post/28719210199/people-are-sending-me-a-lot-of-messages-that-are) because I don’t think people get what I mean by “under” boobs
Okay, took a short 10 minute break to doodle this. Trying to illustrate something that a lot of artists do, intentionally or unintentionally, when drawing kinda-busty to very-busty people. I’m no expert but I figured I’d just try.
1 – arms crossed without boobs as obstacle
2 & 3 – popular ways of drawing busty people unrealistically crossing arms
4 – a more natural and realistic way of crossing arms
Bonus – something a lot of inexperienced artists do to try to work around all obstacles at once, but end up drawing strangely long arms and torsos in the process.Lots of WORDS below…

Paul Richards here made a cool photoshop document that would reveal a complement of your color after using the paint bucket tool on a layer. It also shows various cool and warm tones of that color.
I’ve been having fun with it. Coloring my value sketches and such.

Strip Search, Season 1, Episode 09 – You Are Your Brand
I would have trouble with this challenge. I kind of fall in line with Lexxy’s opinions on things, but I’m more of a pushover, so don’t even know how my answers to these questions would have compared.
I’m kind of glad to be able to watch this season from the sideline, so I have an idea of what to expect if I apply for season 2… ^_^;

I CANNOT STOP READING IT. I’m all “I should do a thing” but then MOAR POSTS TO READ. Today though! Today!
I spent all yesterday going through some blogs I follow, hunting down tutorials and other cool stuff that I know I’ve seen and REBLOGGING THE FUCK outta that shit. Hours upon hours of looking through tags. @_@ I should probably mention that Aaron Diaz and Yamino are both reblogged prominently in my queue because they are beautiful people that bring lovely arts and knowledge into the world.

I like it because it helps me!
I’m glad to hear this! From the handful of followers it’s gotten since yesterday, it’s nice to know I wont just be collecting and hoarding things in an echo chamber. I hope it can be helpful to other folks too!
Every time I think I’m finished adding to the queue, I find 10 more things I like. I’ve got a full queue through Tuesday afternoon. ^_^;;

Useful since I’m trying to figure out what color to paint my room!
Although I’m really not buying their vague explanation for why pink is a “girl’s room” color. Not only girls need to be calmed by pink. This graphic even says that prisons sometimes use pink to calm down inmates.

Shera, Princess of Power, original artwork.
Shera and her mighty steed, Swift Wind in front of Castle Greyskull. This was about to stay in sketch purgatory until I finally looked at it again recently and decided to finally finish it. And like I posted before, yes technically Swift Wind is a pegasus, but I couldn’t fit his wings in without obscuring Shera, so it was a design decision. And as always, if you would like to purchase this print, then this link is for you.
If you all aren’t following this awesome artist, you should be.

FZDSCHOOL – More or less one of the most known concept art-related resources I know on youtube. It’s great to sit and draw and just listen to the talking.
SinixDesign– This guy is also great! He has some design workshops ever now and then where the viewers can send in their stuff for critique! very encouraging and inspiring!
moatddtutorials– This guy is more into drawing than painting, and has a more cartoony style. He has interesting methods when it comes to perspective. And he also challenge himself in some of his videos (the engine block video is a great example of this)
foxOrian– Also known here on dA for his awesome perspective and composition tutorials. He has a youtube channel where he posts some videos that might be interesting as well.
