Finally home after going for 12 straight hours today. Went to church with Chris, did lunch, did the health and fitness expo, did a housewarming party, then did Second Church. (Much like second breakfast, except it’s church and not breakfast.)
Did some schmoozing, and now I’m verrrrrrrrry tired.
Tomorrow, it’s back to business. We’re going to get this thing funded this week. I can feel it. Game faces, everyone. :)
Bit late on this list, but #9. and #58.
9: My best first date
My first date with my current partner, Chris. We went out for pizza and a movie (we saw Borat) and then watched Home Movies afterward at my place.
58: What’s my strangest talent?
I can cock my eyebrows individually.
Also, on the list: 17, 49, 73.
17: Favourite food
Spaghetti! Preferably with garlic bread.
49: Am I excited for anything?
I am excited for this dang Kickstarter to get funded. Hopefully this week.
73: Is there anything pink in 10 feets from me?
There is a pink Pocky tote bag in one of my cubey shelves.

A lot of people make fun of this family and especially her, but damn she sometimes says the smartest things.
You’re allllll beautimous
I know there are problematic things in this show (particularly their use of AAVE as has been pointed out in many posts), BUT there is A LOT that this family gets right- particularly June.
.
Aside from the fact that June takes every check from the show and puts it into trusts for the girl’s schooling that she and Sugar Bear can’t touch, that it’s obvious the pageant stuff is done because Alanna wants to, and that they would never force her to continue if she changed her mind, that they obviously support all of their kids in being completely themselves, pursuing whatever makes them happy, and embracing them even when they make mistakes- Aside from all that:
.
Watching this show, it’s the first time on TV (reality, or otherwise) that I’ve seen the whole… family/unconditional support thing done RIGHT. This is a family that is THERE for their kids. That supports them unconditionally. There is a lot of body talk on their show- but it is always framed in acceptance and love and encouragement.
.
Seeing that is more than amazing, it’s revolutionary. And you will never convince me otherwise.
