I did a new Sailor Moon redraw last week! Got inspired by a looping GIF of this particular pose during Dead Scream that came across my dash.

The first of 8 commissions for my Kickstarter backers.  Queen Nehellenia is my favorite SM villain. DAT HAIR, Y’ALL.

I tried out watercolor brushes for the shading on this piece, and attempted to emulate the look of Naoko’s artbook images, with the liberal use of bright highlights. :D

I went too dark on the colors here. Naoko colors are heavily skewed towards mid- and light tones, using shading to define form moreso than lighting.
