That feeling when Simchat Torah falls on National Coming Out Day!
Here’s me, I’m queer, hope everyone is having a good evening. Behind me are the tablets so I guess they’re queer for the night as well. I love the way the Hebrew is basically one of those No Running, No Food, No Stereos swimming pool rule signs in contrast with the fancypants King James Christian version where thou shalt not, or whatever.
I’m gabbai at my synagogue and I have declared the the Torah scrolls are GIRLS. So I say things like, “Here’s her dress,” and “Be careful with her, there.” Maybe some of them are trans. They haven’t told me and it’s not my business.
