This movie covers something like 19 years while Redd knows Andy, then of course they meet again at the end. Could be a month later, could be years.
BUT ANYWAY they did a really good job with makeup and hair in this movie vis-a-vis aging the characters. At the very beginning, they all do look younger, softer in some way, compared to the later wrinkles and gray hair.
