Yeah, we have Plans. Once the system restore is done (MAYBE IN A BILLION YEARS) we’re going to go in with recovery software if the relevant files are gone.

The files most likely are not lost on the drive. You can buy an external enclosure for your drive, put it in there, and get your files onto another computer.
