It is imperative that I take a break to watch Independence Day.
It’s for the comic.
IT IS TOTALLY JUST FOR THE COMIC.
it is not.

Starting up on page 10!Ā This is super great because it actually includes my rough drawing stage this time around.
I’m Arting as Hard as I Can: obscenepromqueen: The argument that āplus-sizeā clothes…
The argument that āplus-sizeā clothes costā¦
The argument that āplus-sizeā clothes cost more because they take more fabric is bullshit. If clothing sizes were priced by theā¦
Itās not that plus-size clothing costs more because it uses more fabric, it costs more because thereās lower demand. They donāt sell as much of it so they raise the price to meet the same profit margins as the smaller sizes. Still not a friendly situation, but economics is rarely friendly.
You’re kidding, right?
50% of American women are a size 16 or above.
The argument that āplus-sizeā clothes costā¦
The argument that āplus-sizeā clothes cost more because they take more fabric is bullshit. If clothing sizes were priced by the amount of material they take to make, each size would cost a little more than the size below it. And if a size 20 would cost more than a size 12 then a size 10 should cost more than a size 2. But it doesnāt. Because your argument is fucking bullshit.
And if fat bodies were valued as much as thin bodies, the extra cost in materials would be applied over all sizes and averaged out to one price.Ā If fat bodies were valued as much as thinbodies, this wouldnāt even be a fucking conversation. End of story.
Get this.
The amount of fabric waste in fashion is staggering. Ā
When companies are cutting out fabric pieces for clothing the excess fabric is thrown away. Ā Cutting out fabric for a size 20 pair of pants doesnāt actually cost more than fabric for a size 4 because all those inches of fabric from the leg piece to the edge of the fabric arenāt used – usually they arenāt even the right size or grain to make other pieces like the waistband or cuffs.
There is a movement happening among some smaller companies making their patterns that use as much fabric as possible, selvage to selvage, to reduce waste – but to the vast majority of large clothing manufacturers, this is a huge time waster when the cost of cheap fabric in fast fashion is negligible anyways.
Yes this makes a lot of sense!Ā
I’ve been thinking about these sorts of things pretty often for the last few months.Ā
meglish said: HNG! thank you so much for doing these! You make it look so easy, haha ^__^; Question- is the info at the top of your templates just for you? Or something you picked up from school or a printerās specs or something? Iād never seen anything like that
I got it from this post on creating a page template.Ā I was investigating the standards on bleed and trim sizes for comic pages, since I want The Hues to be formatted for print right off the bat, and having the extra page info in the file seemed like a good idea. And it only takes about 30 seconds to do, so WHY NOT. ^_^
As far as the actual templates themselves, I made a few different ones: One with guides for three rows of panels, one with four rows of panels, and one that’s just blank.
Part four (the final part) of my process video for The Hues: Page 9.
Got my game face on.
