Circus Pleats. [Outfit Details] [Youtube]

I’m seeing all these big bold vertical stripe shirts and dresses and I really want one.  I’m thinking blue/white, pink/white, or yellow/white.

I really kinda want to look like those iconic striped beach tents that I think you’re supposed to change in.

Why didn’t this meme exist when I was in art school?  I have so few occasions to use pickup lines these days.

Disclaimer (that was longer until tumblr deleted it):

I like MLP:FiM. I only play Pokemon; I do not think of myself as a gamer. Chill.

Thanks for letting me know that you did this!  It’s hilarious, and sadly, often quite true. :

Edit: The comic is not a denigration of Bronies, or that men shouldn’t like MLP or anything.

Off-panel response: Wow! How unique!

PANEL 2: A lady with a “GIRL GAMER” label says:

Lady: I am a FEMALE who takes part in a MALE oriented media environment.

Response: You’re just attention seeking!

PANEL 3: An angry lady with bear ears, labeled “SOME BEAR” yells:

Bearlady: I’M A BEAR AND YO’ BACKWARDS ASS SHIT IS UTTER BULLSHIT.

Compliation of my Sailor Moon cosplay :D

It’s been my dream to cosplay Sailor Moon for years and this past weekend at AX 2012 it got to come true :D You may be wondering why I chose to go with a black color for the wig, and the reason is, cuz I’m black LOL XD

I wanted to do a version of Sailor Moon that looked more natural for me, and I think it still turned out well :]

This is going to sound cheesy but I hope that me cosplaying shows girls who may think they can’t cosplay because they have a darker skin tone (because 90% of characters are light skinned) or a curvier body type that they don’t have to be afraid to be their dream character! You can adjust the character to suit yourself while being as true to the original as you can :]

Photogry credit goes to my friend http://jwillson.tumblr.com/ He did an amazing job! Thanks again :]

You look incredible! Your wig is flawless and it makes the whole cosplay look amazing. I also love the accents, like your flower and pearls.

Stunning! ^__^

Oh, I’m sorry, you must have mistaken me for someone who makes good and thoughtful artistic decisions.

Why? Why these characters? Why why why? I just. I just can’t say.

First I was like

Animated GIF of a camera zooming in on the expression of a young asian woman, looking revelatory.

Then I was like

A looping GIF of a theater crowd giving a standing ovation.

Oh, thermostat!

Thin privilege is turning down the air conditioning without ever thinking of the fatter people in the room who aren’t nearly as cold as you are.

Thin privilege is assuming yours is the default body: your comforts and discomforts are default; your width and weight are the defaults.

I CANNOT BE THE ONLY FAT PERSON WHO GETS COLD.

I hate this idea that all fat people must be hot and sweaty. I’m not even sure that it’s true. I know a lot of thin people who are always hot and a lot of fat people who are always hot – and I live in Florida so maybe it’s just that most people are always hot and I’m imagining things here but.

I think the second part is the important thing here. Don’t assume. That includes fatties, too.

I get cold too!  My (average-sized) boyfriend and I have radically different comfort levels when it comes to temperature, so I’m freezing in his spaces, and he’s roasting in mine.
